Documents
Upload a customer's contracts and invoices for Deal Hub to read, and find every presentation, brief, quote and export made for them.
Documents: One place for customer-ready deliverables and source files. It has two views:
- Generated: presentations, executive briefs, quotes and scenario exports made in the Document Studio
- Uploaded: files you or the customer uploaded

Search by name, type or status, and filter by type. The list shows each document's Name, Type, Updated date and Status.
Upload a document
Choose Upload files, or drag files onto the list. Upload contracts, agreements, invoices or proposals. Deal Hub reads supported text and tables from each file. Files are encrypted and kept until you delete them.
What Deal Hub reads is used across the record:
- agreement terms, amendments and risks on Terms & conditions
- prices for Products & pricing
Documents the customer uploaded during onboarding appear here too.
Uploaded file actions
| Action | Does |
|---|---|
| Show extracted content | What Deal Hub read from the file |
| Read prices | Reads the customer's prices from the file for Products & pricing (Regenerate to read again). See Prices from documents |
| Read the document again | Retries reading a file that failed or stalled |
| View original file / Download | Opens or downloads the original. A PDF opens in the browser |
| Permanently delete | Removes the encrypted file and what was read from it. Can't be undone |
A file marked In use in Products & pricing is the source of the customer's current prices.
The document viewer
A citation elsewhere in the record (the info icon beside a term or a price, or a contract risk's Open document) opens the file in a viewer over the page, so you don't leave what you were reading. A PDF opens at the cited page, with what was cited above it and a tab for what Deal Hub read. Any other file shows what was read from it. The viewer has Open in a new tab, a download button and Show in Documents.
Generated documents
Each generated document opens back in the Document Studio: Open presentation, Open brief, Open quote or Open export (Open progress while it's still being built).
- Download gets its file (PowerPoint, PDF, Word or Excel).
- Show version history lists every saved version; see Versions and downloads.
- Delete removes it with its history. The removal is recorded in the audit log.
With nothing made yet: No generated documents yet (Create one from the Create menu.).
Older presentations and briefs
Presentations and briefs made before the current Document Studio open marked View only. You can read them and download their files (Download ...), but not edit or regenerate them. To change one, create a new presentation or brief from Create.
