Branding
Your logo, dark mode logo and brand colours, variations of your primary colour, the live preview, and how saving, undo and reset work.
Settings › Branding: Your logo and colour, used across Onyx Platform, Deal Hub, quotes and onboarding pages. (Without Deal Hub, it says used across Onyx Platform.)
Platform and Deal Hub take your brand at once: buttons, links and the selected menu item use your colours, and your logo replaces the Onyx logo in the sidebar.
For organisation admins
Only organisation admins can change the brand. Other members see An organization admin manages your brand. and the page without its buttons.

The page header
| Control | Does |
|---|---|
| Saved / Unsaved changes | Whether what you see is saved |
| Import from website | Reads your logo and colours from a website. See Import from website |
| Reset to default | Removes your logo and colours (shows once you have a brand) |
| Discard | Throws away unsaved changes (shows while you have some) |
| Save changes | Saves your logo and colour changes |
Under the buttons, Last read from acme.com, 2 hours ago says when your website was last read. Choose View to see what it found.
Your brand
Logo
Choose Upload logo (or Replace once you have one), or drop an image on the logo tile. Use a PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG file of 2 MB or smaller. Remove takes it off. Until you upload one, your pages use the Onyx logo.
Dark mode logo
Dark mode needs a logo that reads on a dark background. Auto makes one from your logo when you save (Made from your logo when you save.): dark ink that wouldn't read turns white, and a logo with its own box sits on a white tile.
To use your own, choose Replace under Dark mode logo, or drop an image on it. Use auto goes back to the one made from your logo.
Brand colours
| Colour | Used for |
|---|---|
| Primary | Buttons, active navigation, links |
| Secondary | Highlights and charts |
| Dark mode | Accent used in dark mode |
Click a swatch to pick a colour, or click its hex value and type one. Secondary and Dark mode read Auto until you set them: Onyx works them out from your primary so they read well. Use auto goes back to the worked-out colour.
If your website was read, From your website lists its colours. Click a colour to use it as Primary.
If a colour wouldn't be readable (for example white text on a very light primary), the save says which colour and why next to it, and nothing is saved until you change it.
Preview
The Preview shows Onyx Platform in your brand as you edit: the sidebar, a hub card and its buttons. Switch between Light and Dark to check both.
Dark mode for partner organisations
In dark mode, every organisation except Onyx's own uses grey surfaces with a soft glow in its brand colour, and the preview draws it that way. Light mode looks the same for everyone.
Save, undo and reset
- Logo and colour edits stay a draft until you choose Save changes. You'll see Brand saved.
- Ready-made choices apply and save at once: a variation's Use, and Use for my brand in Import from website. You'll see Brand updated with Undo, which puts your previous brand back (Brand restored).
- Reset to default asks Reset your brand to default? (Your logo and colours are removed. Onyx Platform, Deal Hub, quotes and onboarding pages go back to the default look. Your brand kits are kept.). Choose Reset to default to confirm.
Documents you already made keep their look. New decks, briefs and quotes start in your brand.
Variations
Variations shows Your primary at three strengths, each with its own secondary and dark mode accent: Deep, Balanced and Bright (your colour as it is). Each card shows its colours, how readable its labels are (AA, AAA or Below AA), and light and dark previews.
Choose Use on a card to apply it. The one you use is marked In use. Hide folds the section to a row of colour pills; Show opens it again. Platform remembers your choice on this device.

Brand kits
Below Variations, Brand kits lists the other looks a presentation or brief can be drawn in, with the kit in use first. See Brand kits.
Company
Your company's business details, the website lookup that fills them in, and the Microsoft purchasing channels (Direct, Indirect) that decide how deals are priced.
Import from website
