Procurement sources
The suppliers your organisation buys Microsoft from, Microsoft (Direct) and your distributors (Indirect), the default source, and retiring or deleting a source.
Settings › Pricing › Procurement sources: Manage the Microsoft and distributor sources your organization purchases from. These sources are available when uploading price lists.
A procurement source is a supplier you buy Microsoft products from. Every price list you upload belongs to one source, and in Deal Hub's Scenario planning you choose which source to purchase from.
| Source | Channel |
|---|---|
| Microsoft | Direct. Already in the list as your direct source |
| Each distributor you add (for example Ingram Micro, Arrow, Pax8) | Indirect |
A source your purchasing channels don't cover says so, for example Not used: your company buys from Microsoft directly only.
For organisation admins
Only organisation admins can add, rename, retire or delete sources.

Add a distributor
Choose Add source.
Enter the Source name (Distributors are indirect. Microsoft is already here as your direct source.) and choose Save source.
Manage sources
| Action | Does |
|---|---|
| Rename | Edit the name in its row and save it |
| Star | Make ... the default source: the default is the one Scenario planning opens on. One source is the default |
| Retire | Retiring immediately stops every price from this source's active books being used for scenarios, comparisons and quotes until it is reactivated. Its uploads and price books stay archived, and it can't be chosen for new uploads. Confirm with Retire source |
| Reactivate | Brings a retired source back |
| Delete | Delete permanently removes a source. Only possible while nothing was ever bought through it; a source with price lists or uploads keeps its history and can only be retired |
Retired sources are hidden. Tick Show retired to see them.
