Incentives and funding

Choose the Microsoft funded engagements your organisation can offer and the market its amounts use, and look up the incentives you earn on a product.

Settings › Incentives and funding: Microsoft funded engagements this organization offers, and the incentives it earns on each product. It has two tabs: Funded engagements and Incentives.

Funded engagements

Microsoft funds partner engagements (for example assessments and deployments) by area, type and deal size. Here you tick the ones your organisation is eligible to offer. Only ticked engagements can be added to a customer's Funding tab in Deal Hub.

For organisation admins

Only organisation admins tick eligibility and change the market. Members see Your organization administrator ticks the engagements this organization is eligible to offer.

Choose your market

Funding amounts differ by Microsoft market (Market A, Market B, Market C). The line at the top says where your company is and which market your deals use, for example Your company is in India. Deals use Market B.

  • Show amounts for changes which market's amounts the table shows.
  • Market used for deals defaults to Automatic, worked out from the Country / region on Company. Choose a market and confirm with Use this market: Funding amounts on opportunities and quotes will use it.

If no country is set, the line says Your company has no country set. with Set it in Company.

Tick your engagements

Find engagements with Search engagements... or the size filter (All Sizes).

Tick each engagement and size your organisation can offer. The table shows its Engagement, Area, Type, Size, Customer eligibility (this size) and the amount for each market.

Ticks save straight away. The header tick sets every engagement in the current filter at once. The toolbar counts them, for example 12 eligible of 136.

Until an admin has reviewed the list, it says Eligibility not determined.

Incentives

Products and SKUs: What your organization earns on that product when it buys direct from Microsoft or through a distributor. A scenario line earns at the rate of the price list that priced it. Everyone can use it.

Each result lists its incentive levers: Lever, the rate for Buying direct from Microsoft and Buying through a distributor, Eligible or Not eligible, Notes and Source. A lever Microsoft doesn't pay shows Not paid.

Promotions

A product's result also lists its Microsoft promotions, split into those in their dates and those Not in their dates. Each shows its Promo ID, Dates, Seat band, Terms, Segments and targeting, and Show conditions prints Microsoft's eligibility text. To apply a promotion to a deal, see Promotions.
